Do you have your water bottle? Go back to your room and put on some lotion. Where’s your Aquaphor? Growing up, my daughters heard at least one of those three questions every day. Essentially, the question boils down to whether you equip yourself with those things that offer hydration to your body. Practicing bodily hydration helps us quench our spiritual thirst. As we wait for the one who satisfies all hunger and thirst, I remember this passage from Isaiah: The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail. May we be so quenched.
