Reveling
Here at the farm, our pigs revel in the mud, digging in with their snouts, rolling on their bellies, even taking long naps half submerged. When they eventually emerge from this reveling, there is no hiding what they have been up to. Caked in mud, their actions are self-evident. This Advent, I wonder what it would look like to be clothed in the armor of light, instead of the debauchery of consumerism or quarreling with our neighbor. What would the markings look like? How would others recognize them?
Glotonerías
Aquí en la granja, nuestros cerdos hacen juerga en el barro, escarbando con sus hocicos, revolcándose sobre sus vientres, incluso tomando largas siestas a medio sumergir. Cuando finalmente emergen de esa juerga, no hay forma de ocultar lo que han estado haciendo: están cubiertos de barro y sus acciones son evidentes.
