Day
“Are we there yet?” My husband and I have a game of counting the number of times one of our three kids asks this on any given road trip. While we joke about it being a child’s question, it is also one that I can relate to in this search for God’s revival of the world each day. Is it now? Tomorrow? Looking at the world’s suffering and injustice, I want to shout to the heavens, “Are we there yet?” Even amid uncertainty, I hold onto the hope of Christ’s promise of a restored Kingdom.

“¿Cuánto falta para llegar?” Mi esposo y yo tenemos un juego: contamos cuántas veces uno de nuestros tres hijos pregunta eso en un viaje por carretera. Si bien bromeamos, sabiendo que es una pregunta de niños, también es una pregunta con la que me identifico en mi búsqueda de que Dios avive el mundo cada día. ¿Es ahora? ¿Mañana? Mirando el sufrimiento y la injusticia del mundo, quiero gritar a los cielos: “¿Cuánto falta para llegar?”.
