Equity
When my sister and I were little, any time there was a treat to share between us, she would say, “I get the bigger half!” Even young children know that people often practice the ideal of equity imperfectly. Since none of us has God’s impartiality, we depend on relationships of accountability to ensure that everyone gets their fair share. What practices or relationships help you to judge with equity, in areas where you have responsibility? How can you speak up for equitable treatment for the vulnerable members of your community?
