In the earliest days of my post-conversion fervor, I was most struck by Jesus’s promise that with faith all things are possible. I walked around, just dazzled, marveling that I could tell a mountain to throw itself into the sea. Yet I never dared to try. I wonder if it was my own faith I doubted or if I were afraid God would let me down. Of course the two are the same. How deep is your faith? Are you scared to ask God to do impossible things? A mustard seed of faith, Jesus tells us, is enough to move mountains and part the sea.
